Man, I haven't blogged in a short time, but it just feels like so much is goin' on.
First of all, I got the lost keys thing figured out.. The apartment complex is going to charge me $5 per key, so that's $10 (the door key and the mail key) but at least I'll be able to check my mail in what seems to have been the two weeks my keys have been lost. maybe now i can finally start reading since i can retrieve my books from the mailbox :-S
Lets see.. I'm finally going to receive my cell phone accessories from eBay in the mail soon. The whole eBay thing was a big mess, my orders weren't combined for whatever reason so I had to pay an insane amount for shipping, but I'm trying to work it out so that those losers can pay me back; I doubt it will work. Anyway, I ordered an extended-life battery for my phone (and yvonne's phone as well) because they were like $5 each and I thought it was a really good investment. I also ordered this cable that converts the input from my phone to a USB which provides two functions: It connects your phone to your computer (for uploads and downloads and such) but even cooler.. it connects your computer to your phone (as an ISP almost, which connects your comp to the internet wherever you are)! I get unlimited internet on my phone, which has its good and bad sides, but overall I've really liked it. And now, I'll be able to get wireless internet on my laptop wherever I go. w00t!
I played Halo at Carlo's today with Rub, Carlo, Christian, and Luis, and didn't get last place any of the games we played.. It sounds stupid, but I feel like I've actually accomplished something, Halo-wise. I used to be the worst Halo player, easily, and I hated that. But I feel like I've finally been improving lately. I lent my copy of Halo to Rub the last couple of weeks, actually.. I think he lent his copy to Carlo or something. But Rub always wins every game we play.. He doubles my score, easily; for every shot I get and am all proud of, he shoots at least one person and me. lol. But it's so much fun to play with him that getting killed by him is always funny (if you've played Halo with him, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about lol).
Speaking of Halo, I want to go to GameStop and reserve my copy for the limited edition of Halo 2!! It's coming out on November 9th and I'm really excited about it.. It's going to offer many new weapons, including updates of the weapons from Halo 1, new vehicles, a whole new story, the ability to fire with two weapons at once (!!!), Xbox Live accessability (!!!!!!!), among many other things. If I were you, I would go reserve a copy as soon as possible!
My friend Massey is goin' to see Incubus in concert in Houston on the 17th. I'd usually go see them in Austin, but Houston might be cool. Maybe I'll be able to meet up with my old friend Tosh :-O! < update > Chris Grimes might be goin' to the concert as well! Lets see if we can get everyone out there next week! < /update >Anyone interested in joining me?? Leave a comment.. we'll make it a road trip :-)
I just realized that I got $4600 to go to TAMIU this year.. Sadly, I'm going to have to give up half of that since I'm moving to Austin in December to go to UT in the Spring. *sigh*. It's funny to find out that some people actually want to move away from Austin to start their life somewhere else, while I am trying to move to Austin to start my life there. I feel like there is so much I'm going to be giving up for this move, like my music students, my new Real Estate job thing, the potential DDR machine to be brought to TAMIU, the Film Club, Lunches in the Honor's Lounge spent playing Gunbound and not eating lunch; however, everyone keeps telling me how great it's going to be, so, I have to try to be optimistic. :-)
